Terms of Use

NbS Praxis Pte. Ltd.
Effective date:
October 16, 2026 | Version: 2.0

1. About these Terms

These Terms govern access to and use of the NbS Praxis website at nbspraxis.com, its free weekly briefing and monthly long-form analysis, glossary, free downloadable resources, subscription facilities and other content to which these Terms are expressly applied. In these Terms, “Content” means that material.

Please read these Terms before subscribing, opening an account or downloading a resource. Where a sign-up or download process asks you to accept them, your affirmative acceptance forms an agreement with the Company for that activity. The permissions in sections 7 to 10 govern the uses of Content we authorize, subject always to rights available under applicable law.

Our Privacy Policy separately explains how we handle personal data; acceptance of these Terms is not blanket consent to processing. Separate terms apply to advisory engagements and paid transactions, as explained in sections 4 and 11. For their subject matter, expressly agreed service or product terms take precedence over conflicting provisions of these general website Terms, subject to mandatory law.

2. Publisher and company details

NbS Praxis is operated and published by NbS Praxis Pte. Ltd., a company incorporated in Singapore with Unique Entity Number 202647887M and registered office at 160 Robinson Road, #14-04, Singapore Business Federation Center, Singapore 068914. “We”, “us”, “our”, “the Company” and “the publisher” refer to that company.

The Company assumed operation of the publication on October 16, 2026. Business correspondence should be sent to 160 Robinson Road, #14-04, Singapore Business Federation Center, Singapore 068914 or hello@nbspraxis.com.

3. Purpose of the publication

NbS Praxis publishes practitioner analysis at the climate-and-nature nexus, including Nature-based Solutions (NbS), Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA), climate resilience, biodiversity conservation and related finance and implementation questions. The publication includes a weekly briefing, monthly long-form analysis and a glossary.

Content is provided for professional information to readers in public institutions, multilateral development finance, the private sector and other practitioner organizations. It is general material, not an assessment tailored to a particular reader or project.

4. No individual professional advice or automatic client relationship

Content is analysis and general information, not individual legal, financial, investment, tax, accounting, engineering, regulatory or other professional advice. Discussion of a fund, project, instrument or institution is not a personalized recommendation to undertake, finance, structure or abandon a transaction.

Reading Content, subscribing, downloading a free resource or sending an inquiry does not, by itself, create a client relationship or an advisory engagement. Our professional services are provided only under a separate written agreement with the Company, which defines the scope, deliverables, responsibilities, fees and applicable limitations of liability.

Descriptions of funder rules, accreditation, access modalities or project-cycle requirements reflect the position addressed at the time of writing and may become outdated. Before making a decision, verify current requirements against the authoritative source and obtain advice appropriate to your circumstances. No publication or resource guarantees funding, approval, financial performance or project outcomes.

Nothing in this section excludes a duty or liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

5. Editorial method, sources and corrections

We support material factual claims with published sources and provide source information in endnotes or another clearly identified reference format. We distinguish analysis and opinion from reported facts and, where material, identify figures that are self-reported, modeled or commitments rather than disbursements.

Errors can occur. Please send a correction or substantive concern to newsletter@nbspraxis.com, identifying the relevant Content and the evidence supporting your concern. We review substantiated concerns and correct material errors in the published record as appropriate.

References to institutions, employers, clients, funders or professional affiliations do not imply that they endorse the publication. Unless expressly stated otherwise with appropriate authorization, the views expressed are those of the relevant authors and the publisher, not those institutions.

We do not publish confidential client or institutional information without appropriate authority. These Terms do not authorize anyone to disclose such information to us.

6. AI-assisted production

NbS Praxis uses artificial-intelligence tools in its production process, including research organization, drafting, synthesis, figures and companion assets. Editorial judgment, source verification and analytical conclusions remain human responsibilities.

The Company retains editorial responsibility for the Content it publishes. AI-generated assets are identified with a disclosure line. AI assistance is not a substitute for reviewing sources and checking material claims, and its disclosure does not change the scope of any separate advisory engagement.

The handling of personal data in connection with AI tools is addressed in the Privacy Policy. This editorial disclosure does not itself authorize use of private reader correspondence or subscriber information in those tools.

7. Intellectual property

Rights in the articles, briefings, glossary entries, commentary, figures, illustrations, resources, books, toolkits, logos and design belong to the Company and/or the relevant authors, licensors and other rights holders, as applicable. The Company grants permissions only to the extent that it owns or controls the relevant rights. Access to Content does not transfer ownership of intellectual property.

Third-party material remains subject to its own rights and any applicable license. Unless stated otherwise, our general permissions do not grant a separate license to reproduce third-party material. Public-domain material remains in the public domain.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove applicable statutory copyright exceptions or other rights that cannot lawfully be restricted by contract. We do not claim ownership of facts, ideas or material merely because we discuss or link to them.

8. Permitted use and uses requiring permission

Subject to section 7 and any specific license accompanying a resource, the following permissions apply. “Your own professional reference” includes reading and using information to inform your work as an employee or consultant; it does not mean a right to redistribute the underlying publication or template.

Uses permitted without separate permission: You may read and view Content, and save or print a personal reference copy where downloading or printing is offered. You may share a normal link to publicly available Content, quote a brief and proportionate excerpt with clear attribution and a link or citation, and cite the work in your own analysis. You may use the information for your own professional reference, including when working for an employer or client, and forward a free, publicly available newsletter to a colleague without sharing personal sign-in or account-management links. You may also exercise any rights available under applicable statutory exceptions.

Uses requiring written permission or a specific license: Unless expressly authorized by written permission from the Company or a specific license accompanying a resource, you must not reproduce or distribute a substantial part of an article, glossary, figure, template or toolkit, or republish a complete article, figure, glossary section, resource or toolkit. You must not sell, sublicense, package or otherwise exploit the Content as a product or substantial part of another product. You must not distribute a complete resource to a client, team or institution, incorporate substantial template content into client deliverables, or share account access or circulate paid, restricted or subscriber-only resources beyond the users permitted by their license. Finally, you must not remove attribution or rights notices, or systematically reproduce Content for a competing database, product, or model-training or benchmarking dataset, except where applicable law permits the use.

Keep attribution, relevant source references and rights notices with permitted copies or excerpts. Use must not misrepresent our conclusions or imply that we reviewed or approved your work. Use of the NbS Praxis name, logo or branding to suggest endorsement, affiliation or partnership requires written permission.

The permission requirements above do not override the statutory rights preserved by section 7. Requests for broader use should be sent to hello@nbspraxis.com.

9. Subscriptions

You may subscribe using an email address you are entitled to use and completing the consent and acceptance steps presented. You may unsubscribe at any time through the facility in a publication email or by contacting us.

A subscription described as free is provided without charge. We may change its frequency, format or scope, or discontinue it, subject to any mandatory rights. A free subscription will not automatically become a paid subscription without your express agreement to the relevant price and terms.

Keep any personal sign-in links or account credentials secure. Do not use subscription facilities to enroll another person without their authority or to obtain access you are not entitled to receive.

10. Free resources

A resource offered without charge may be used for your own professional reference under sections 7 and 8, unless a specific license states otherwise. Working for a commercial organization or on a paid assignment does not, by itself, make that reference use prohibited.

Permission to read or download a resource is not automatically permission to adapt and distribute a template, include it in a client deliverable, or supply it to an entire organization. Where adaptation or broader professional reuse is allowed, the resource’s license will say so.

We may revise, replace or withdraw a free resource from future availability. That does not retrospectively cancel a previously granted license or remove a mandatory right.

11. Paid products and commercial transactions

Current offering: At the effective date of these Terms, the NbS Praxis website provides free access to the weekly briefing, monthly long-form analysis, glossary, and selected practitioner resources. Paid digital products, practitioner toolkits, books, and independent advisory engagements may also be offered directly through the website or distributed through third-party publishing and retail platforms (including Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing and other independent retailers) as described below.

A reference or link to a book, toolkit, paid publication, membership or advisory service is not, by itself, an agreement to supply it. The relevant seller, price, currency, applicable taxes, delivery arrangements, license, refund or cancellation provisions and other material transaction terms will be presented to you before an order or engagement is agreed.

Paid products, memberships and institutional licenses require their own commercial terms. Advisory services require a separate written engagement agreement. These general website Terms govern website use and do not replace either type of agreement or constitute the full terms of a paid transaction.

Where a purchase is made from an independent retailer or platform, the identified seller’s transaction terms apply. This does not remove any responsibility the Company has under its own agreement with you or under mandatory law.

12. Reader messages and submissions

You retain ownership of feedback, corrections, replies and other material you send us. We may use private correspondence to review the issue raised, respond, administer our records and address legal obligations, in accordance with the Privacy Policy. We will obtain your permission before publishing private correspondence or quoting from it in a publication, unless disclosure is legally required.

Where a clearly identified public-comment facility is enabled, posting a comment authorizes us to host, display and technically reproduce it for that facility, and to moderate it. This is a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission for that limited purpose; it is not a transfer of ownership or permission to sell your comment as a separate work.

You should submit only material you are entitled to provide. Do not submit unlawful material, confidential or procurement-sensitive information, or unnecessary personal data about others. We may decline, hide or remove submissions that are unlawful, abusive, irrelevant or inconsistent with these requirements.

13. Third-party websites and services

Links to institutional documents, funder guidance, data portals, retailers and other external resources are provided for reference or the stated purpose. We do not control those services or guarantee their continuing availability or accuracy. A link does not, by itself, constitute an endorsement or partnership.

Your dealings with a third party are subject to the applicable agreement with that party. Nothing in this section excludes responsibility for our own representations, conduct or obligations where applicable law does not permit exclusion.

14. Availability and changes

We may modify the website, correct or update Content, withdraw obsolete material, suspend a feature for maintenance or security, or discontinue free features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

You must not interfere with the website, introduce malicious code, bypass access restrictions, impersonate another user or seek unauthorized access to systems or personal data. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, protect security or comply with law.

This section does not authorize us to disregard an existing paid-product agreement, cancel an accrued license retrospectively, or exclude a mandatory right.

15. Disclaimer of warranties

Subject to section 16 and applicable mandatory law, the free website and free Content are supplied on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that all Content will be complete, current or free from error, that access will be uninterrupted, or that a publication or resource is suitable for a particular project or decision.

This disclaimer does not reduce an express commitment in a separate agreement, excuse fraud, or remove any statutory warranty, remedy or obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing removes mandatory consumer or data-protection rights.

Subject to those protections, and only to the extent permitted by applicable law, the Company will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the free website or free Content. For business use, we also exclude liability for loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or anticipated savings attributable to reliance on free Content, whether direct or indirect, to the extent such an exclusion is lawful.

Liability for an advisory engagement or paid product is governed by the relevant separate agreement and applicable law. These website Terms do not impose a liability limit on that agreement unless the agreement expressly and validly incorporates it.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and disputes arising from them are governed by Singapore law. Subject to mandatory rights available under applicable law, the courts of Singapore have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

Nothing in this clause deprives a consumer of mandatory protections or a forum available under applicable law, or prevents a complaint to a competent regulator. Please raise concerns with hello@nbspraxis.com so that we have an opportunity to resolve them. Contacting us first is encouraged, not a condition of seeking urgent relief or exercising a statutory right.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms for changes in our services, publication arrangements or legal requirements. The effective date identifies the applicable version. Changes apply prospectively; they do not retrospectively alter an existing paid transaction or a previously granted license without a valid basis.

Where a material change affects an existing subscription or account, we will provide appropriate notice and seek renewed acceptance where required. We will not rely solely on silent website updates to impose a new payment obligation, obtain consent to optional data processing or remove an accrued right.

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue so far as they can lawfully operate without it.
